N el day of the week, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been away from the tomb.
She ran to Simon Peter and the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and told them: "They have taken the Lord from the tomb and we do not know where they have laid him."
went out then Peter and the other disciples, and came unto the sepulcher.
ran along both, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first.
bent down and saw the burial cloths there, but did not enter.
also came Simon Peter following him, and went into the tomb and saw the bandages on the ground,
and cloth that had covered his head, not lying with the linen cloths but rolled up in a place by itself.
Then went in also that other disciple, who reached the tomb first, and he saw and believed.
they did not yet understand the scripture that he must rise from the dead.
The Lord is truly risen. The light of the resurrection illumine your hearts and your life in the hope that we can find true joy.
