Opening A Sphere Lock

The Bible

The Bible is the holy book and for us Christians, in part, to the Jews. It tells the story of a people and contains lessons sent by the Lord through the prophets and, later, Jesus

Bible comes from the greek qabiblia which means books. Indeed, the Bible is a collection of 73 books. Each of these was written by an author or authors.

These 73 books are divided into two parts: the alliances that the Lord has concluded.

Old Testament : the Old Testament is the covenant that God made with the people jew through Abraham, to whom he promised a lineage of the grains of sand on the beach: infinite.

New Testament : The New Testament letters the covenant between God and humanity that took place through his only Son Jesus Christ.

We are now going a bit 'in more detail, talking in more detail of the two testaments.
OLD TESTAMENT: The Alliance Between God and the People JEW

As mentioned earlier, the Old Testament is the covenant signed between God and the people jew. The Old Testament also tells the story of the Jewish people.

The Old Testament is made up of 46 books. These can be divided into "groups". These include:

Pentateuch : are the first 5 books of the Bible and contains the story of creation and the law, still comply with very strict Jews;
Prophets: the books written by the prophets
Wisdom books of wisdom

The Old Testament begins with the book of Genesis , despite the oldest book is Exodus. Genesis recounts the creation of the world, the story of Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, and, in later chapters, the story of the Jewish patriarchs which Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, etc. ...
all begins with Abraham that God gives a child when it had lost hope. Isaac is the first descendant of a lineage that would not pass away.

Jews have suffered various invasions and slavery. Genesis, in fact, ends with the Jews who were enslaved in Egypt. After the Genesis is the book of Exodus. In Exodus the primary concern is that Moses freed the people from slavery in Egypt.

Another important point in the book of Exodus are commandments, the tablets of the law that God sent to Moses on Mount Sinai. Even today, the 10 commandments are the basis of Christian and Jewish faiths.

The prophets were men who spoke on behalf of the Lord. For centuries they have announced the coming of the Messiah, Jesus Among the major prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah, we remember, while among the minor prophets certainly remember Job. Another popular book is the book of Psalms , 150 prayers written by the King of Israel, the prophets, and others. The psalm more famous is the Psalm 50 famous prayer of repentance King David .

THE NEW TESTAMENT

The New Testament, as mentioned before, represents the covenant made between God and humanity through his son Jesus Christ .

The New Testament completes the Old: Jesus was foretold centuries before all the prophets, and was now born to bring salvation to Israel.
The New Testament is composed of only 27 books, most of which letters written by the Apostles to Christian communities. We can divide the New Testament:

Gospels: The four Gospels written by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John
Acts: The Acts of the Apostles written by St. Luke
Letters: letters written by Apostles to Christian communities. What he wrote down the most was definitely St. Paul
Revelation : the last book of the Bible that speaks of the end of the world.

The New Testament could not start than with the Gospels and the story of the birth of Jesus Birth of Jesus is well described in the Gospels, each of the evangelists speaks of Jesus' birth transfer in the census in Bethlehem.
whole life preaching is recounted in each of the four Gospels with different ways because appeal to different people.
the age of thirty Jesus begins his public life and began to preach and work miracles. Even the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus are told in the Gospels.
So:
The Gospels tell the story of Jesus, speaking of the facts of his preaching and miracles he did.

The doctrine of Jesus gives birth to the Christian Church, led by Peter. The first "adventure" of the early church are told Acts of the Apostles, written by Luke the Evangelist. The Acts beginning with the descent of the Holy Spirit on Mary and the Apostles who start preaching. The same St. Peter, the most fearful among the disciples of Jesus, on that day converted more than three thousand people.

Acts devotes special attention to the work of St. Paul from a persecutor of Christians became one of the apostles with more faith.

Letters Pauline , but also other letters, People are urged to communities that were founded by the Apostles themselves. These include recommendations to continue the ministry they were doing well, and blame if something was not done according to the will of God

ends with the Apocalypse, the Bible, and it is no coincidence that the end of the Bible is the book about the end of the world.
