we desire.

I think those people
poor, desperate, looking for help.
And we do not tend their hands

those people who find themselves in a life
that for them would be better not to have
And we do not help these people
Why?

want something.
In this cool summer night
I think of the victims of terrorist attacks
And instead of learning to forgive
are criticized, killed
Why?
Here is what one may wish
The rich want money
The poor of bread and work
the child a new toy car
people want everything
but in this cool summer night
I want one.
Worth more than all the world's wealth
without which we could not live
